Job Description
Tupande, the Kenya program of One Acre Fund, is hiring a senior export logistics specialist for a full-time, on-site role in Nairobi. The post runs export operations from the moment an order is placed until goods arrive overseas, making sure shipments depart from company sites on schedule, within budget and in line with applicable rules, including safety standards.
The job centers on planning, coordination, paperwork and contact with freight partners, regulators and customers. It also covers traceability, container reconditioning when overseas regulators flag problems, and controlling freight costs.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate each export from order placement to arrival at the destination
- Prepare and review export documents and shipment records, keeping them audit-ready
- Work with carriers, freight forwarders and port agents to schedule shipments and resolve delays
- Oversee container reconditioning after regulatory findings, and keep supply chain traceability records in order
Requirements
- At least five years in supply chain, including three or more years focused on exports
- Working command of export tracking and management software
- Advanced Google Sheets skills for building formulas and analysis
- Fluent English, and some Swahili is an asset
Qualifications
- Strong planning, organization and coordination skills
- Analytical approach to forecasting costs and tracking results
- Ability to manage several priorities under pressure
