Job Description
Brigit is a financial health company for everyday Americans. Its products are meant to be clear, equitable and easy to understand, and its business model is aligned with members. This full-time VP, Head of Partnerships role owns the B2B partnership strategy and its commercial results, including growth of strategic relationships and launches of embedded-finance partnerships.
The position is hands-on. The leader sets priorities and targets, personally takes on important deals and accounts, builds the operating rhythm for a growing business, and hires and develops the team. Collaboration with Risk, Legal and Compliance, as well as Product and Engineering, is central to moving opportunities from initial thesis through signed agreement, launch and measured performance.
The role also evaluates potential data partnerships, including whether cash-flow-based underwriting data is worth pursuing. It suits an experienced commercial leader who has spent over 15 years in deal-making and partner growth across consumer fintech, embedded finance, lending and related sectors, including financial data, and who has taken API, embedded or white-label tie-ups from negotiation to launch.
Responsibilities
- Decide which segments to pursue, what partners gain from working with the company, and what the quarterly targets are.
- Keep a qualified pipeline and give clear recommendations on investment and go/no-go calls.
- Own senior-level partner talks, contract negotiations, renewal and growth planning for major accounts.
- Hold partner business reviews and translate performance data into steps that improve outcomes for both Brigit and its partners.
- Guide embedded deals from first conversations and deal design all the way to contracting, rollout and tuning.
- Set up standard deal terms, go-live standards and partner-management habits that lower friction as the company scales.
- Assess new partnership models, including whether cash-flow underwriting data is commercially and technically viable, working with Risk, Data, Product and prospective lenders.
- Turn partner needs into commercial requirements for reusable integrations, working with engineering and Product.
- Oversee affiliate partnerships with Growth, and hire for new embedded and data partnership opportunities once approved.
- Build and lead the team by setting who owns what, along with targets, coaching and follow-up.
- Coordinate diligence, contracts, data use and launch readiness with Legal, Compliance and Risk, raising regulatory questions early.
Requirements
- More than fifteen years in partnership, dealmaking or general management, mainly in consumer fintech, embedded finance, lending or financial-data businesses
- Demonstrated skill in taking complicated partnerships to launch, including API and white-label work, beyond merely closing contracts
- Background in shaping commercial plans and goals, running deal flow and growing staff
- Credibility with product and engineering executives on technical integrations, and with risk leaders when assessing data sources
- Proven ability to manage and grow existing partners as well as assess and add new ones
- Good judgment in regulated settings; comfortable handling diligence, contracts and data questions with legal and compliance teams
- Executive-level communication, deal negotiation and analysis skills, and fluency in both strategy and day-to-day execution
Qualifications
- Prior ties to consumer finance apps or lending companies
- Work in earned-wage-access, paycheck advance or small-loan products
- Hands-on history bringing underwriting or financial-data offerings to market
Core Skills

- Medical, dental and vision coverage
