This full-time contract role places the selected professional on assignment with a client.
The position suits an experienced architect capable of serving as the technical authority for enterprise data platforms. The work involves creating federated architectures, establishing data sharing standards, and directing the modernization of traditional ETL systems into metadata-driven, cloud-native products. Professionals in this role will build secure connections across platforms, support artificial intelligence and machine learning workloads, and lead architecture reviews.

Responsibilities
- Design and implement federated architectures at enterprise scale that integrate Palantir Foundry and Databricks.
- Establish standards for sharing data across Databricks, Foundry, Cloud Storage, and BigQuery environments.
- Define architectural patterns using Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, Apache Iceberg, Virtual Tables, Foundry Ontology, and Catalog Federation.
- Lead the transition of legacy ETL setups into metadata-driven and cloud-native data products.
- Establish models for enterprise data ownership, governance, metadata, and lineage across both platforms.
- Develop architectural roadmaps to support self-service data consumption, real-time analytics, machine learning, and AI.
- Create Foundry Databricks Connector solutions handling incremental synchronization, bulk imports, external model integrations, compute pushdown, and virtual tables.
- Construct scalable enrichment, transformation, and ingestion pipelines utilizing Python, PySpark, Spark SQL, Airflow, Databricks Workflows, and Foundry Code Repositories.
- Architect secure connections linking Databricks, Palantir Foundry, Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Enterprise APIs.
- Enable machine learning and artificial intelligence workloads across Databricks and Foundry environments.
- Act as the technical authority for enterprise data platform architecture and conduct architecture reviews.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of professional background in Platform Engineering, Data Architecture, or Data Engineering.
- Minimum 8 years of experience working with Databricks Lakehouse Architecture.
- Demonstrated experience operating or implementing Palantir Foundry data platforms.
- Deep expertise in Data Modeling, Python, PySpark, Spark SQL, and Delta Lake.
- Thorough knowledge of Lakehouse Architectures, Unity Catalog, Apache Iceberg, Metadata Management, and Data Governance.
- Practical experience using Google Cloud Platform tools such as IAM, Networking, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Pub/Sub.
- Experience in designing distributed data systems with high scalability.
- Robust leadership, architecture, and stakeholder management competencies.
- Based in Latin America with fluency in English and full-time remote availability.
Qualifications
- Palantir Foundry implementation experience or official certification.
- Background in operational decision platforms and Ontology development.
- Experience with model deployment and AI/ML infrastructure.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD Pipelines, and GitHub Actions.
- Exposure to ad-tech, marketing, consumer intelligence, or survey data platforms.
- Experience supporting data products at the scale of Fortune 500 companies.
