This position requires 40 hours per week, with the selected professional allocated to work remotely for a client.
This role suits proactive, detail-oriented engineers based in Latin America with strong communication abilities and a commitment to continuous learning. The position involves collaborating with product teams, designing robust backend architectures, and expanding AI-native development workflows across the organization.
Compensation ranges from $4,000 to $5,000 USD per month, determined by the candidate's seniority and skillset. Payment is handled through a payroll platform.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product teams to determine and implement technical criteria
- Design and construct backend services and APIs involving relational data and system integrations
- Translate complex and changing business domains into clear data schemas and API contracts
- Deliver complete features from end to end, including TypeScript frontend tasks
- Contribute to scaling AI-native development practices across the team through shared workflows, tooling, and CI/CD integration
Requirements
- Mid-to-senior level engineering background with solid data and backend foundations
- Production background working with relational databases and domain or data modeling
- Production proficiency in Ruby, Node.js/TypeScript, or Python
- Experience in designing and creating APIs
- Familiarity with AWS or another enterprise cloud platform
- Daily utilization of agentic AI coding tools and experience scaling shared AI workflows into CI/CD pipelines and the development lifecycle
- Fluent English communication skills
- Based in Latin America and available for remote work
Qualifications
- Experience building LLM features on enterprise AI platforms such as AWS Bedrock
- Exposure to data from the energy, utilities, or sustainability sectors
