The organization is currently seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join their team in a remote capacity. This full-time contract role places the selected professional at a client organization.
The position centers on managing product analytics across web applications and mobile platforms. The chosen analyst will partner closely with product owners, design analytical structures, oversee experiments, and use artificial intelligence tools to streamline reporting workflows. Candidates must possess English fluency and be available for at least four hours of schedule overlap with US Eastern business hours.
Responsibilities
- Manage product analytics for web and mobile products covering activation, onboarding drop-off, feature adoption, engagement, and retention
- Collaborate with product owners as the primary analytics partner to help shape roadmap priorities
- Design analytical frameworks to guide data-informed decisions regarding product features
- Translate complex product inquiries into concrete analyses and practical recommendations
- Work alongside product managers to plan event tracking and perform instrumentation quality assurance
- Manage A_B tests and feature experiments through every phase from hypothesis to ship decision
- Utilize artificial intelligence tools to accelerate insight generation and automate routine reporting
- Develop self-serve reporting tools for product owners
- Identify, resolve, or escalate data integrity gaps and anomalies
- Communicate findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Surface trends and opportunities proactively
- Mentor fellow analysts and promote best practices
Requirements
- Minimum of five years working in product analytics, data analytics, or a related field focusing on web products or consumer mobile apps
- Advanced SQL capabilities including complex joins, window functions, CTEs, and query optimization for large datasets
- Practical experience with experimentation encompassing statistical testing, power analysis, and A_B test design
- Solid foundation in product analytics principles such as cohort and funnel analysis, event data, and instrumentation
- Daily utilization of artificial intelligence analytics workflows utilizing tools like Claude, Claude Code, or Claude Cowork
- Working familiarity with Python for analysis purposes
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and shifting priorities while taking ownership from initial question to final recommendation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Fluent English language proficiency
- Availability for a minimum of four hours of overlap with US Eastern business hours
Qualifications
- Prior background working with subscription or ad-monetized consumer applications
- Familiarity with modern data modeling practices or dbt
- Experience dealing with browser extensions, browsers, or Android applications
