In this role, the engineer will design, build, and support NetSuite customizations and integrations for external clients. This opportunity suits an English-fluent technical professional based in Latin America who excels at communication, embraces change, and pays close attention to detail.
The position involves developing SuiteScript solutions, creating automated workflows, building system integrations, and managing the development lifecycle using the SuiteCloud Development Framework. The selected individual will collaborate directly with cross-functional teams including finance, operations, supply chain, and sales.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy NetSuite customizations utilizing SuiteScript 2.x and Suitelets
- Construct and maintain third-party integrations with e-commerce platforms, EDI providers, and 3PLs via APIs and middleware
- Automate business operations across procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, inventory, and financial close using SuiteFlow workflows and custom code
- Collaborate with finance, operations, supply chain, and sales departments to gather project specifications and formulate technical designs
- Generate custom fields, forms, records, saved searches, and advanced PDF or HTML templates
- Handle the development lifecycle through version control, sandbox testing, and the SuiteCloud Development Framework
- Investigate and resolve script errors, performance bottlenecks, and synchronization failures
- Assess NetSuite platform releases for potential impacts on existing code and apply necessary updates
- Produce technical documentation for scripts, designs, and integrations
Requirements
- At least three years of professional experience writing and maintaining SuiteScript 2.x scripts
- Demonstrated background in designing and supporting integrations between NetSuite and external systems using web services and middleware
- Practical knowledge of order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, inventory, and record-to-report business processes
- Hands-on ability to build custom records, forms, workflows, saved searches, reports, and SuiteAnalytics queries
- Familiarity with the SuiteCloud Development Framework and data migration procedures including CSV imports
- Proficiency in English with exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities
Qualifications
- NetSuite certifications such as SuiteFoundation, Suite Cloud Developer II, or ERP Consultant
- Background in SaaS, wholesale, distribution, manufacturing, or e-commerce industries
- Familiarity with Advanced Revenue Management, WMS, Advanced Inventory, SuiteBilling, SuiteCommerce, or SuiteCommerce Advanced
- Exposure to other ERP or CRM systems like Salesforce, HubSpot, or Dynamics
- Knowledge of Node.js, Python, or SQL outside of NetSuite
- Prior experience working with United States-based finance and operations stakeholders, or a consulting background
