GoFasti, a Talent-as-a-Service provider connecting Latin American developers and designers with international companies, is hiring an Applied AI Engineer for a remote role. This position offers a monthly salary between USD 4,000 and 5,000 and requires a 40-hour work week on a full-time contract basis through a payroll platform.
The person chosen for this role will collaborate directly with product teams, identify valuable artificial intelligence use cases, and develop large language model capabilities and agents from prototype to production. Candidates must be fluent in English, live in Latin America, and possess strong interpersonal abilities alongside high attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product teams to establish and fulfill technical criteria
- Identify high-value artificial intelligence use cases and define measurement metrics
- Design, construct, and release large language model features and agents into production
- Manage retrieval and retrieval-augmented generation using foundation work from data engineers
- Develop evaluations and monitoring systems to track quality, latency, and cost
- Enhance customer-facing artificial intelligence features
Requirements
- Mid-to-senior software engineering background with experience shipping large language model features or agents to production
- Production background in Python or Node.js/TypeScript
- Experience building with large language models including prompt design, tool design, structured outputs, retrieval-augmented generation, and agent orchestration
- Experience evaluating artificial intelligence systems through representative eval sets, automated graders, human review, and production monitoring
- Familiarity with enterprise cloud platforms such as AWS and associated artificial intelligence services
- Experience with AI-native development tools and scaling shared workflows into CI/CD pipelines
- Strong English communication skills
- Reside in Latin America and remain available for remote work
Qualifications
- Familiarity with agent tool protocols such as MCP
- Knowledge of SQL and cloud warehouse data like Snowflake
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
- Prior exposure to sustainability, utilities, or energy data
