Job Description
Toptal operates a worldwide network of talent that helps companies scale teams on demand. This full-time, remote Account Executive role focuses on winning net new accounts and re-engaging dormant ones. It is a full sales cycle job: the executive researches prospects, reaches out strategically, connects Toptal's value to each prospect's needs and closes new business. Because the executive books their own meetings through prospecting, pipeline building is part of the job from the start.
Daily work includes prospecting, educating and qualifying leads, running lead generation for new target accounts, and handling inbound leads when they arrive. The executive reaches prospects by phone, email and LinkedIn, explains Toptal's vision and value, and manages the funnel so leads move toward conversion. Coordinating stakeholders and following up consistently are expected, and CRM records must stay current. As experience builds, the executive helps shape demand generation strategy and tactics.
New hires learn Toptal's model and sales methods through training with simulated calls, live cold calls and role-play, and learn outreach tools such as SalesLoft, ZoomInfo and LinkedIn Sales Navigator. In the first year the executive should close net new accounts from a strategic list and help mentor new team members.
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree and has at least one year of closing experience. The posting stresses persistence after rejection, curiosity about prospects' problems, companies and industries, enthusiasm and a self-starting, accountable approach. A sense of humor is valued.
