Job Description
Toptal operates a worldwide network of talent that helps companies scale teams on demand. This full-time, remote Business Solutions Specialist works with clients to understand what they need, pairs them with management consultants from Toptal's talent network, and supports the process through matching, the engagement and afterward. The role requires full-time availability during Eastern or Pacific working hours.
Daily tasks include gathering requirements, defining job descriptions and the responsibilities of talent, searching profiles, shortlisting candidates and asking about availability, screening applicants, and introducing candidates to clients with notes on technical and cultural fit. The specialist also sets consultant rates, adjusts commitment types, schedules start dates, gathers feedback on talent and keeps detailed platform records. Advising consultants in the network, and investigating client-consultant disputes alongside colleagues, are also part of the job.
In the first weeks the specialist shadows matching calls and learns the process with a colleague. Within months they take on their own clients and build relationships with top talent in the network. Over the first year the goal is to become a subject-matter expert on consulting matching and to help build the infrastructure that lets the process scale.
Applicants need a bachelor's degree and at least five years in management consulting at a top-tier or respected boutique firm, or in equivalent strategic advisory work. Experience across several practices, such as strategy, finance, operations, marketing, people and technology, is valued, as are the ability to learn new fields quickly and strong relationship skills. An MBA would help but is not a requirement. Applications and correspondence must be in English, and visa sponsorship is not offered.
