Responsibilities
- Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and investigate or resolve account discrepancies
- Handle billing and payment uploads while preparing month-end accruals for reseller commissions
- Prepare monthly payroll balance sheet reconciliations covering salaries, taxes, benefits, and related accounts
- Reconcile payroll actuals, payments, and accruals across Canadian subsidiaries
- Record payroll reclassifications and accruals including retention bonuses, RRSP, restructuring, and source deductions
- Examine goods received not invoiced and open purchase orders to aid expense accruals
- Execute month-over-month and budget variance evaluations for operating expenses, marketing, payroll, legal, and benefits
- Compile subsidiary reporting packages accompanied by clear variance commentary
- Partner with non-finance colleagues and FP&A to examine and settle reconciliation issues, variances, and accrual discrepancies
Requirements
- Previous work background in a comparable accounting position
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- Strong time management, organizational abilities, and attention to detail
- Interpersonal competencies and the capability to manage confidential data discreetly
- Proficiency in English
- Availability to work NOAM EST hours
