As an Accounting Specialist focused on Thailand, the professional guides customers through the implementation and configuration of accounting features within Cloudbeds. This position connects property operations with external financial systems, ensuring proper data flow from the front desk to end-of-month reporting. The role suits individuals with a background in hotel accounting who possess strong technical aptitude and enjoy direct client communication.
Team members collaborate with internal departments including engineering, sales, and support to resolve integration challenges and assist clients throughout the onboarding lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Manage client implementations of Cloudbeds financial and accounting features, encompassing chart of accounts mapping, tax settings, revenue recognition, and reconciliation workflows
- Analyze specific client business operations such as night audits, folio management, accounts receivable, and month-end closes to configure the Cloudbeds software appropriately
- Facilitate connections between Cloudbeds and external accounting software or enterprise resource planning platforms via native integrations and partner solutions
- Resolve accounting discrepancies, configuration inquiries, and data synchronization errors methodically
- Develop documentation, guides, and best-practice resources related to hospitality accounting workflows
- Share client feedback and recurring pain points with product and engineering groups to influence product development
- Act as an internal and external subject matter expert regarding bookkeeping and accounting methods within the hospitality sector
- Assist sales and project management personnel during discussions regarding financial and accounting functionalities
Requirements
- At least five years of direct hotel accounting experience
- Demonstrated understanding of general ledger, accounts receivable and payable, revenue recognition, financial reporting, and reconciliation
- Prior experience implementing property management system to accounting integrations
- Familiarity with Carmen Accounting
- Familiarity with software-as-a-service platforms and ability to quickly learn new tools
- Strong communication skills for explaining financial concepts to non-technical individuals and technical requirements to engineering teams
- Analytical capability to trace data flows and resolve mapping errors
- Fluency in Thai and English for written and verbal communication across time zones
- Authorized to work in the designated location without requiring visa sponsorship
Qualifications
