In this full-time remote role, the strategist will own editorial content planning and execution tailored for AI search engines like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Google's AI Overviews, helping users find Chime without paid media. This position suits an experienced content and SEO professional who wants to blend hands-on editorial work with cutting-edge AI optimization strategies.
The chosen candidate will manage the corporate blog, build sequenced roadmaps using prompt data and member insights, and optimize content structure so AI models can accurately interpret and cite Chime's offerings. Responsibilities also include overseeing day-to-day operations with AI content platforms like AirOps, coordinating publisher and affiliate partnerships for offsite visibility, and guiding content through legal, compliance, and partner bank reviews. The role requires working alongside the Principal for AI Search Strategy and SEO, collaborating with product marketing and public relations teams, and tracking key metrics including citations, traffic, rankings, and enrollments.

Responsibilities
- Manage the company blog and editorial content plan focused on SEO and AEO goals
- Run the editorial calendar to maintain a consistent publishing schedule
- Format and structure content in Contentful to ensure AI models can extract accurate product details like rates and limits
- Lead content initiatives across Chime.com alongside Product Marketing for seasonal moments and product launches
- Improve site and blog conversion rates via inline CTAs, email capture, and testing
- Supervise day-to-day operations with the AirOps platform to automate drafting, optimization, and disclosures
- Drive offsite visibility by collaborating with publisher and affiliate partners and managing the AI visibility budget
- Navigate content through Legal, Compliance, and partner bank review queues using AI-assisted pre-review tools
- Coordinate with PR, Brand, Social, YouTube, and Help Center teams to maintain accurate and consistent messaging
- Monitor citations, topic-specific AI visibility, traffic, rankings, and enrollments while running format experiments
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in editorial strategy, content strategy, or SEO content
- Demonstrated history of increasing organic visibility, traffic, or conversions
- Hands-on expertise in AEO and GEO principles regarding how LLMs select and cite sources
- Familiarity with AI content tools and workflows such as AirOps or Profound
- Prior background publishing content within a regulated sector such as financial services, fintech, insurance, or healthcare
- Direct experience handling content management systems, with a preference for Contentful
- Working knowledge of Jira or comparable ticket tracking workflows
- Experience directing external freelancers, agencies, or partners regarding timelines, quality, and budget
- Exceptional writing and editing abilities with strong attention to detail and performance analytics
