Chime is seeking a Senior Product Data Scientist to collaborate with lending, product, engineering, risk, and finance groups. In this position, you will guide strategies for liquidity and credit offerings like SpotMe, MyPay, Instant Loans, and Line of Credit. The role focuses on turning data into actionable insights, directing end-to-end funnels, building testing programs, and balancing growth with compliance and risk performance.

Successful candidates will translate ambiguous business questions into clear recommendations, provide self-service analytics to product managers and engineers, and deliver executive-ready presentations. Responsibilities
- Partner independently with lending product, engineering, risk, and finance teams to shape strategy and surface proactive opportunities
- Design, build, and execute a comprehensive A/B testing and experimentation program across liquidity offerings
- Empower product managers and engineers through self-service analytics, causal studies, and ad hoc analysis
- Apply time-series forecasting, advanced causal inference, and occasional machine learning methods to track user retention, adoption, origination pacing, and repayment
- Manage lending funnel metrics spanning conversion, adoption, originations, revenue, delinquency, losses, and Direct Deposit growth
- Establish reliable event tracking for user journeys inside the mobile application and construct dashboards for portfolio health
- Communicate complex findings through executive-ready narratives that drive team alignment
Requirements
- Possess five to seven years of relevant, hands-on experience in business or product data science
- Demonstrate expert-level SQL capability along with proficiency in Python
- Apply broad knowledge of experimental design, applied statistics, and A/B test analysis
- Show documented experience utilizing machine learning techniques for business use cases
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior cross-functional colleagues by influencing decisions with data and sound judgment
- Maintain a proactive problem-discovery approach to explore data and identify patterns independently
Qualifications
- Prior background in lending, credit, or FinTech environments
- Familiarity with tools such as Hex and Looker
- Experience constructing data pipelines via Airflow or dbt
- Knowledge of AI coding tools such as Cursor and Claude Code
