GitLab is hiring an AI Transformation Owner, Product & Design to shape and execute AI strategy within the organization. GitLab operates an intelligent orchestration platform for DevSecOps, helping users accelerate digital transformation and build secure software faster.
In this role, you will function similarly to a product manager whose primary product is your department's workflow. You will analyze existing processes, determine where artificial intelligence can dramatically improve operations, build no-code and low-code prototypes, and collaborate closely with an Enterprise AI engineer. The position suits a strategic professional with a product mindset who understands operational bottlenecks and can drive user adoption.
This is a full-time, on-site role with a base salary range of USD 203,200 to 345,600 per year for US residents. GitLab offers equity compensation, flexible paid time off, parental leave, and team member resource groups. Responsibilities
- Own the functional AI strategy in alignment with business priorities and your Executive Sponsor
- Map end-to-end work flows and identify major operational constraints and high-impact AI opportunities
- Manage intake of AI requests from across the function via a Champion network
- Drive adoption and change management through shared spaces, office hours, and team demonstrations
- Build working prototypes using low-code and no-code platforms without waiting for engineering support
- Author and iterate on skills files and configure Model Context Protocol servers
- Manage the function's agent fleet by tracking key performance indicators and running evaluations
Requirements
- Deep knowledge of your function's operations and end-to-end process mapping
- Strong strategic prioritization and product management mindset focusing on metrics and adoption
- Demonstrated communication and influence skills to manage stakeholder expectations
- Experience building peer networks or communities of practice such as guilds or champion programs
- Familiarity building with AI tools like agents, prompts, and server connections
- Conceptual understanding of AI capabilities including summarization, classification, generation, and agentic workflows
