The organization is currently hiring an Analytics Engineer to join its Data Science division.
In this capacity, the professional will collaborate closely with various technical groups, including Consumer, Ads, and Marketing, to build and deploy analytical tools and data infrastructure designed to advance the platform and support future growth. This position exists at the boundary of Data Science and Data Engineering, requiring expertise in both disciplines to connect data producers with data consumers.
This opportunity is ideal for an individual with a strong background in managing large-scale data systems, building automated workflows, and collaborating across cross-functional teams. The successful candidate will help maintain high data standards, manage data product portfolios, and act as a strategic advisor to leadership regarding data architecture and roadmap development.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to initiatives focused on data quality, performance, reliability, and automation
- Manage a portfolio of data products that supply dependable and trustworthy information
- Build and maintain data pipelines for ingestion, processing, and transformation
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure pipeline reliability and quality
- Design and execute data quality checks, quality assurance processes, and monitoring routines
- Establish and oversee data integrations across external and internal systems
- Build internal tools and applications designed to facilitate reporting and data analysis
- Promote the adoption of internal tools with a focus on consistency and automation
- Advise data scientists, engineering managers, and leadership on data foundations and strategy
Requirements
- Over three years of experience working with large-scale ETL systems, encompassing implementation, strategy, and maintenance
- Experience building maintainable code and systems in a production environment, with Python preferred
- Programming proficiency in languages such as Python, SQL, Spark, and Scala
- Familiarity with data modeling, ETL and ELT patterns, data governance, and data workflows like Airflow
- Experience handling massive-scale structured and unstructured data
- Background in data analysis and dashboard design
- Understanding of technical and functional designs for relational and MPP databases
- Experience with agentic AI-assisted development
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders across all technical levels
