Within the Stream Reporting team, engineers focus on capturing, processing, and transforming user behavior and listening signals into reliable datasets that drive personalization, experimentation, analytics, and royalty calculations.
The organization seeks an Android Engineer to join this collaborative group at the intersection of platform systems, mobile development, and data infrastructure. This position suits a developer experienced in building scalable, maintainable mobile applications who wants to impact core data pipelines operating at a massive scale. Responsibilities include writing robust Kotlin components, collaborating closely with backend, data, and iOS peers, and utilizing modern AI-assisted engineering tools to enhance software productivity.
This full-time opportunity is based out of the London office, operating under a hybrid working arrangement that balances remote flexibility with required in-person collaboration sessions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain mobile client components to capture and report listening and user behavior signals
- Write high-quality, tested, and documented Kotlin code for business-critical datasets
- Partner with Android, iOS, backend, and data teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
- Improve the architecture, reliability, and quality of data collection and processing systems
- Contribute to new capabilities that capture richer user engagement signals across evolving product features
- Drive technical improvements to simplify event reporting integration for teams across the company
- Utilize modern AI-assisted engineering tools and workflows to boost productivity and quality
- Participate in a culture focused on continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and technical excellence
Requirements
- Experience developing Android and iOS applications using Kotlin alongside Swift or Objective-C
- Solid experience as an Engineer I
- Ability to build maintainable, scalable, and well-tested software systems
- Comfort working within large codebases and quickly learning unfamiliar domains and technologies
- Experience collaborating with engineers and stakeholders across multiple teams
- Commitment to code quality, testing, documentation, and long-term maintainability
- Familiarity with modern development tooling, including AI-assisted coding solutions
Qualifications
- Experience with C++ and understanding of how native code integrates with mobile applications
- Familiarity with SQL, analytics systems, or data engineering concepts
- Experience with instrumentation, telemetry, event collection, or large-scale client-side data systems
- Background working on mobile applications operating at significant scale and high reliability requirements
