Bosch is seeking an Application Engineer - Heat Pumps for a full-time, on-site position located in Bengaluru. This role focuses on independently managing refrigeration circuit design, component selection, and technical specifications for heat pump systems. The position suits an experienced mechanical engineering professional capable of working with global suppliers, leading cross-functional design reviews, and handling product compliance and certification processes.
The person in this role will drive initiatives aimed at improving performance and reducing costs. Responsibilities include conducting Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, preparing validation plans, and adhering to internal quality management documentation guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Manage refrigeration circuit design independently, including component sizing, selection, and piping and instrumentation diagrams following guidelines
- Determine technical specifications and collaborate with local and global suppliers to develop parts meeting international standards
- Oversee component and module development and validate them against Design Validation Plans and relevant standards
- Handle product certification for directives such as CE, RoHS, REACH, and EMC to satisfy target country safety requirements like IEC 60335
- Facilitate design reviews alongside cross-functional teams
- Perform Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis and prepare validation plans for product robustness
- Execute cost-reduction and performance-enhancement projects
- Manage stakeholder interactions independently and follow the quality management documentation processes

- Hold a Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology degree in Mechanical engineering
