Bosch is seeking an Assistant Manager or Senior Engineer for a Customer Project Management Engineer role based in Bengaluru. This position involves planning, executing, and leading deliverables for customer projects in component engineering to ensure requirements are met within agreed quality, cost, and timeline parameters. The professional in this role will handle project management tasks by estimating and planning project costs for design, testing, and coordination, identifying and managing risks, developing contingency plans, and tracking progress to implement necessary improvements.
Additionally, the person will drive engineering product quality and preventive quality management processes using specific system methods, coordinate topics for IDN and platform window meetings, manage budgets in compliance with regulations, and oversee innovation management processes to generate ideas and solve customer concerns. The role requires building competencies aligned with business trends and managing project execution according to established customer specifications.
Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and lead customer project deliverables in component engineering
- Estimate and plan project costs covering design, testing, and coordination
- Identify and manage project risks while developing contingency plans
- Review project progress and implement necessary changes for improvement
- Drive engineering product quality and preventive quality management processes
- Coordinate topics for IDN and platform window meetings with lead departments
- Manage budgets and adhere to regulations and compliance for project specifications
- Supervise innovation management processes to generate new ideas and address customer concerns
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 to 5 years of experience in project management related to IC engine components
- Advanced knowledge of internal combustion engines and connected systems
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing, quality, and procurement processes for auto components
- Advanced knowledge of auto component lifecycle management processes
- Advanced knowledge of engineering drawings, geometrical design, and tolerance
- Competent skills in methodology and tools such as FMEA, DRBFM, Focus analysis, and 8D
- Competent project management skills alongside basic management review processes
- Basic interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills with advanced problem-solving abilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in engineering fields including Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Automotive
- PMP certification
