Bosch is seeking a Lead Engineer for Appliance Design & Development in Bengaluru. This full-time, on-site role focuses on domestic boiler appliances, hydraulic systems, and mechanical product development. The position suits an experienced mechanical engineer who can take technical ownership of domestic boiler hydraulic systems and components such as pumps, valves, heat exchangers, hydraulic modules, piping, and pipe joining methods. Responsibilities span concept development, component integration, design reviews, validation, and series support.
The chosen professional will collaborate with local and international suppliers to develop components, and will lead development and validation activities against Design Validation Plans and relevant standards. Furthermore, the role requires managing stakeholders, conducting technical discussions with suppliers, and coordinating across Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality, and cross-functional engineering teams. Compliance with the Bosch Quality Management System and documentation processes is also required.
Responsibilities
- Take technical ownership of domestic boiler hydraulic systems and components including pumps, valves, heat exchangers, hydraulic modules, piping, interfaces, and pipe joining methods
- Handle concept development, component integration, design reviews, validation, and series support
- Develop components in collaboration with local and international suppliers
- Lead the development and validation of components and modules against Design Validation Plans and applicable standards
- Conduct design reviews, stakeholder management, and technical discussions with suppliers
- Coordinate with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality, and cross-functional engineering teams
- Ensure compliance with the Bosch Quality Management System and documentation processes
Requirements
- 6 to 10 years of experience
- Strong hands-on experience in Siemens NX and Teamcenter
- Knowledge of GD&T/ISO-GPS, Tolerance stack-up, Plastics & Sheet metal, DFMEA/DRBFM, DFM/DFA, and Engineering Change Management
- Expertise in Domestic Boiler Appliances, Hydraulic Systems, and Mechanical Product Development
Qualifications
- B.E. or B. Tech in Mechanical
- Preferred experience in Domestic Boilers, Heating Systems, Heat Pumps, or HVAC Hydraulic Modules
