Angkas, the Philippines' motorcycle ride-hailing platform, is hiring an Associate Director for Data Analytics and Insights on a full-time, on-site basis. The role owns the analytics function end to end, leads a team, and sets the roadmap across driver incentives, supply and demand, pricing, retention and unit economics. It also covers data governance, working with engineering on pipeline reliability, and presenting findings to executives and cross-functional leaders.
Responsibilities
- Own the analytics roadmap and make sure the team focuses on the metrics that matter to the business.
- Set up processes and build the team's skills in analysis and reporting.
- Present findings to executives and align with product, operations and finance.
- Lead data governance, including pipeline reliability, documentation and data lineage with engineering.
Requirements
- At least 10 years in analytics or data science, with at least 5 years leading a team.
- Strong SQL and Python skills, with hands-on analysis still part of the role.
- Solid statistics background in experimentation, causal inference and hypothesis testing.
- Experience with BI tools such as Looker, Superset or Tableau, and strong presentation skills.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in a data-related field.
- Experience in ride-hailing, logistics or two-sided marketplaces.
- Experience rolling out organization-wide AI tools and managing the change that comes with them.
- Background in data lineage or metadata management.
