Job Description

This full-time Associate Legal Counsel role sits in the in-house core legal team at Ebury's Leon office. The arrangement is hybrid, with four days in the office and one day working remotely each week. The associate answers to the relevant Legal Counsel.

The Legal Department gives front-line counsel on legal, regulatory and governance questions across the Ebury Group. The associate would back the core team on finance, corporate and commercial matters, including cross-border work in multiple jurisdictions, and help build new products and enter new markets.

Typical tasks include reviewing internal and client questions, drafting and checking routine contracts such as confidentiality agreements and engagement letters, and helping prepare, negotiate and review finance and commercial deals. The role also covers legal research, creating templates and training material, and keeping track of legal invoices and expenses.

  • Well organised, able to juggle many tasks in a busy setting
  • Works well alone and within a group, under pressure
  • Proactive team member who gets on with varied colleagues
