Job Description
Fieldguide is looking for an Audit Methodology Lead to join its remote team on a full-time basis, with a salary range of USD 185,000 to 230,000 per year. Fieldguide builds software designed to automate and streamline assurance and financial audit workflows for cybersecurity, privacy, and financial audit practitioners.
In this role, you will act as the key bridge between audit methodology partners and the company's platform, ensuring that agentic platforms deliver accurate and explainable methodology that adheres to proper standards. You will focus on operationalizing guidance and documentation from partners, working alongside product, engineering, and artificial intelligence teams to translate professional standards and judgment into reliable workflows.
This position is suited for a methodical and curious professional with a background in public accounting who wants to explore the intersection of audit, data, and artificial intelligence.
Responsibilities
- Define the structure and logic behind out-of-the-box methodology content in collaboration with partners
- Configure partner-sourced methodology content and procedures to create usable platform workflows
- Incorporate guidance from US GAAS, PCAOB standards, and other frameworks into platform content
- Manage the ingestion and review process for methodology content and engagement templates to verify accuracy
- Refine templates and methodologies using real-world feedback from auditors
- Partner with AI architects and engineers to establish prompts, workflows, and guardrails for testing agents
- Support financial audit implementation teams with customization and annual updates
- Maintain version control, approval processes, and documentation for methodology implementations
- Monitor regulatory and industry updates to advise on product implications
Requirements
- Certified Public Accountant license
- Minimum of 5 years of public accounting experience
- Deep expertise in AICPA auditing standards, PCAOB rules, and audit methodology
- Familiarity with audit technology, automation tools, workpapers, or templates
- Knowledge of quality control and quality management standards like SQMS 1 and PCAOB QC standards
- Ability to convert professional standards into structured logic and workflows
Qualifications
- Interest in contributing to process improvement and optimization
- Prior experience in audit methodology or national office functions
- Expertise in international auditing standards
