Job Description

Binance is offering an Applied AI Application Engineer internship within its Accelerator Program, as part of Tech Seeds 2026, an initiative to identify AI-native young talent. Binance operates a major crypto exchange and a broad blockchain ecosystem. The internship is a six-month full-time commitment. The posting does not state a work location.

Starting on day one, the intern pairs with permanent engineers on agent pipelines, tool integrations, server-side services and AI architecture. The posting is clear that this is not an observation placement: the intern owns deliverables, runs experiments and ships working code.

Responsibilities include helping design and build LLM-powered application components, trying out prompt strategies, retrieval flows, tool-calling logic and orchestration patterns, and wiring them into backend integrations. The intern helps set evaluation criteria, runs benchmarks, studies failure cases, and works on answer quality, response speed, reliability, safety and cost. Using AI coding assistants as a normal part of development is expected, and the intern may also contribute to APIs, internal tools or simple front ends.

Candidates must be studying a computing-related course, such as software engineering or data science, with completion due in 2026 or 2027. A firm grasp of Python or Java is essential, and backend know-how counts in your favour. The posting looks for competence with APIs, debugging and data, real curiosity about LLMs and agents, and the ability to move from an idea to a prototype quickly.

Extra credit goes to self-directed or coursework builds around LLM apps, agent systems or automation, and to familiarity with OpenAI or Anthropic interfaces, Hugging Face, LangChain, vector stores, Git, databases or cloud services.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to shaping and coding agent pipelines and LLM-based application parts
  • Experiment with prompt approaches, retrieval paths, tool invocation logic and workflow coordination
  • Help define evaluation metrics, run benchmarks and examine failure cases
  • Raise answer quality and speed, and strengthen dependability, safety and spending efficiency
  • Use AI coding assistants as a routine part of development
  • Contribute to backend services, APIs and internal tools alongside engineers

Requirements

  • Studying for an undergraduate or postgraduate qualification in computing, software engineering, data science or any neighbouring area
  • Set to graduate in 2026 or 2027
  • Solid programming in Python or Java, with backend familiarity preferred
  • Competence with APIs, debugging and data handling
  • Genuine interest in LLMs, AI agents, automation and system design
  • Ability to take an idea to a working prototype in a fast-moving team
  • Available for a six-month full-time commitment

Qualifications

  • Personal or academic projects on LLM applications, agent systems or automation
  • Familiarity with OpenAI or Anthropic APIs, Hugging Face, LangChain or vector databases
  • Knowledge of version control, data stores, server-side systems or cloud environments

Core Skills

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and company benefits
  • A work-from-home arrangement that may vary by team
  • A flat organisational structure and room for career growth
