Robinhood operates a financial platform with the mission to democratize finance for all. The organization is seeking a Brokerage Risk Analyst Intern for the Summer 2027 term to join its Brokerage Risk team in Chicago.
This internship suits analytical students interested in combining technology and financial risk management. The Brokerage Risk group utilizes data, automation, and artificial intelligence to enhance risk transparency and operational resilience.
Interns will work in a hands-on environment, creating and evaluating risk management tools, reviewing live brokerage data, and automating processes to protect customers and the firm. Day-to-day work involves collaborating with risk professionals, engineers, and product groups to build solutions that identify and display risk metrics. Candidates will also assist with generative artificial intelligence initiatives, such as document classification and books and records automation.

Responsibilities
- Write SQL and Python scripts to automate control processes including reconciliations, supervisory checks, and risk alerts
- Collaborate with data analysts and engineers to design real-time risk metric dashboards

- Contribute to generative artificial intelligence projects involving document classification, access management, and test account oversight
- Share findings and prototypes with senior leadership
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Finance, Engineering, or a related field
- Expected graduation date in Winter 2027 or Summer 2028
- Foundational experience using SQL and Python
- Ability to work on-site in the Chicago office at least three days a week
