Job Description
This full-time Cloud Operations Support Engineer position at Druva keeps cloud infrastructure running and scaling inside a FedRAMP-certified environment. It suits an engineer who is early in building cloud operations expertise and can take on moderately scoped work with general direction. The team's goal is dependable, highly available services for a growing customer base.
Daily tasks include watching cloud systems, handling tickets about servers, networks and storage, and giving escalated help during incidents while meeting defined service levels. The engineer writes and maintains infrastructure-as-code templates and scripting that supports test and release work, and helps stand up monitoring, observability and security tooling, including dashboards that show live metrics.
Weekly meetings bring the engineer together with the DevOps, support and QA groups, and keeps other departments informed on progress. Production releases and operating system patches land on Friday evenings between 5 pm and 11 pm Pacific time, handled on a rotating basis. The engineer also takes responsibility for finding and fixing weaknesses in the FedRAMP environment.
Applicants should have at least two years of relevant work, or an advanced degree or equivalent experience. Helpful skills include AWS and Azure, container platforms, observability and SIEM products, one scripting language such as Python or Go, Terraform or CloudFormation, and Linux patching on Ubuntu or RHEL.
