Wise is seeking a Compliance Monitoring and Testing L4 professional to join the team in Hyderabad for a full-time, on-site role. In this position, the contributor will execute the compliance monitoring and testing schedule across various markets. The selected individual will collaborate with compliance officers, operations, product units, and other departments to evaluate how financial crime and regulatory standards operate, determine their effectiveness, spot potential control vulnerabilities, and deliver findings based on concrete evidence.
This position is designed for individuals aiming to deepen their regulatory expertise while gaining hands-on exposure to risk assessment, controls testing, and data analysis inside a fast-growing global fintech company. Responsibilities include gathering documentation, validating control effectiveness, executing monitoring plans, and leveraging data tools to track compliance health. Responsibilities
- Perform and support process and controls testing by gathering evidence, running procedures, recording results, and spotting potential control gaps
- Communicate observations, identified risks, and potential gaps to senior team members and stakeholders
- Validate regulatory control effectiveness to establish trusted relationships with key stakeholders
- Carry out assigned compliance monitoring and testing activities across markets following agreed plans and methodologies
- Monitor compliance health proactively using data and visualization tools
- Contribute to the creation and tracking of compliance indicators
Requirements
- Possess two to five years of experience in a compliance, internal audit, or external audit role
- Demonstrate a foundational understanding of regulatory compliance or financial crime risks and controls
- Understand the principles of assurance, risk, and controls with experience reviewing processes or testing control effectiveness related to EU, UK, US rules, or global requirements
- Be able to formulate risk-based compliance monitoring and testing programs across multiple markets
- Communicate and write clearly regarding products, processes, controls, and improvements
- Work independently as a proactive problem solver adaptable to changing priorities
Qualifications
- Ability to identify and analyze emerging compliance risks relevant to the organization
- Experience using analytical tools such as SQL or Python
