This Compliance Operations Lead post is based in Hyderabad, India. It leads the Wise compliance operations group that decides on higher-risk customers for a set of APAC entities. The lead oversees the quality framework and decision accuracy for enhanced customer due diligence, tracks operational results against wider company goals, and feeds into first-line training and procedures. Colleagues sit in product, banking and operations teams across APAC, Estonia and the London headquarters. The work supports a financial crime programme whose purpose includes protecting customers.
This is a people leadership role. The lead coaches the compliance operations staff, drafts development plans, holds regular one-to-one meetings and recommends promotions and pay changes. The lead is the final internal escalation point when team leads cannot settle an issue, produces performance reports with corrective steps, and works with regional compliance officers on complicated cases.

- Strong communication and organisational skills
Qualifications
- Financial services background with solid knowledge of AML and CTF rules in APAC markets, for instance Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia and Singapore
- Experience with regulatory inspections, audits and FIU reporting
- Experience in a second-line compliance advisory function is ideal
- Interest in moving into FinTech or payments compliance from a fast-growing environment
