Since its founding in 2017, the company has served millions of patients across the United States. Ro is seeking a Compounding Pharmacy Technician for its facility located in Romeoville, Illinois.
In this full-time position, the professional will handle the precise and safe creation of non-sterile hazardous and non-hazardous medications while adhering to regulatory guidelines and internal operating procedures. Responsibilities include preparing, labeling, and packaging compounded prescriptions, as well as maintaining a clean environment and following rigorous gowning and safety rules. The role reports directly to the Lead Pharmacy Technician and requires working on-site for forty hours per week from Monday through Friday, along with alternating Saturdays.

Team members collaborate closely with pharmacists and peers to manage inventory, document batch records, and resolve production issues in a dynamic setting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare non-sterile hazardous and non-hazardous compounded medications following established standards and company procedures
- Utilize proper personal protective equipment and follow strict safety rules for handling hazardous drugs
- Measure, mix, label, and package prescriptions accurately and efficiently
- Maintain a sanitary and compliant workspace according to validated cleaning protocols
- Accurately document batch records and compounding activities
- Participate in inventory tasks such as stock rotation, restocking, and cycle counting
- Escalate deviations, safety concerns, or equipment malfunctions to the Lead Technician or Pharmacist
- Receive, store, and verify incoming supplies and ingredients
- Take part in ongoing training sessions to maintain knowledge of compounding rules
- Work alongside pharmacists and colleagues to resolve production issues
Requirements
- Active Pharmacy Technician License issued by the State of Illinois
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one year of experience working in sterile and/or non-sterile compounding
- Ability to work on-site in Romeoville, Illinois for 40 hours per week
- Availability to work Monday through Friday plus every other Saturday
- Familiarity with proper gowning techniques and personal protective equipment usage
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and pharmacy systems
