The organization is currently seeking a Consolidation Specialist to join its finance department on a permanent, full-time basis. This role offers the flexibility of working fully remote from Romania or as a hybrid setup from Chiasso, Switzerland, with very limited travel required.
Operating within a compact consolidation team, the chosen professional will report directly to the Head of Consolidation, take end-to-end ownership of financial workstreams, and interact regularly with local finance groups, corporate functions, and external auditors. The position focuses on technical IFRS accounting, financial statement preparation, internal controls, and reporting systems.
This opportunity is well-suited for an analytical accounting expert who possesses deep knowledge of international financial reporting standards, strong data management skills, and practical experience leveraging artificial intelligence tools for financial analysis. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the employment country without requiring visa sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, maintain, and execute reconciliations for consolidated ledger accounts and financial statements including monthly balance sheets, profit and loss, cash flow, equity statements, and capital expenditure schedules.
- Execute consolidation adjustments and intercompany calculations aligned with corporate transfer pricing policies.
- Perform monthly reconciliations of the group net financial position and account for key personnel long-term incentive plans.
- Conduct periodic reviews of reporting packages submitted by local finance managers through the Tagetik platform.
- Assist with impairment test preparations under IAS 36 along with interim and annual disclosures.
- Contribute to forecast figures and financial modeling requests for both local and group-level operations.
- Develop, test, deploy, and maintain consolidated reports within Tagetik.
- Design and maintain internal controls over financial reporting processes to ensure activities are fully documented and executed.
- Establish and maintain documented procedures, reporting guidelines, and the group chart of accounts.
- Manage ordinary communications and relationships with external auditors and consultants under supervision.
Requirements
- At least three years of professional experience in technical accounting and financial reporting within a large multinational organization, audit firm, or consultancy.
- Deep knowledge and understanding of consolidation rules and techniques alongside IFRS expertise.
- Professional fluency in written and spoken English.
- Practical fluency in artificial intelligence tools such as Claude for accelerating real-world reporting and analysis, combined with critical judgment.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, lookups, and managing large volumes of data.
- Solid working knowledge of Google Workspace and Google Sheets.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in accounting or finance.
- Previous audit experience gained at a Big 4 accounting firm.
- Working knowledge of Tagetik or a comparable consolidation and reporting platform.
