Kryptos Technologies limited is seeking an AWS DevOps Lead/Architect for a full-time, on-site role based in London. This is a three-month engagement tailored for an experienced technical expert who can handle both strategic planning and hands-on implementation across large-scale enterprise cloud modernization initiatives.
The person in this position will spearhead infrastructure assessments, conduct discovery workshops, and formulate cloud transformation roadmaps. Responsibilities include designing secure, scalable, and cost-efficient AWS architectures, establishing Infrastructure as Code standards, and providing technical guidance to operations, security, and infrastructure groups. The ideal professional acts as a reliable consultant for customers during architecture evaluations and solution discussions, communicating effectively with CXOs, client architects, and infrastructure teams alike.
This opportunity is well-suited for a hands-on architect with over a decade of overall experience who thrives on managing workload transitions, defining DevOps operating models, and driving platform governance without acting purely as a project manager.
Responsibilities
- Lead discovery workshops and infrastructure assessments for cloud transformation programs
- Analyze existing on-premise and cloud environments to define modernization roadmaps
- Design scalable, secure, resilient, and cost-optimized AWS architectures
- Create high-level and low-level designs for infrastructure and platform solutions
- Manage migration planning, dependency analysis, and workload onboarding to AWS
- Define Infrastructure as Code standards using Terraform and CloudFormation
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
- Provide technical leadership across infrastructure, DevOps, security, and operations teams
- Drive platform standardization, governance, and operational best practices
- Act as a trusted advisor for customers during architecture reviews and solutioning discussions
Requirements
- AWS Architecture and Solution Design expertise
- Experience with AWS Landing Zone and Multi-Account Strategy
- Infrastructure Discovery and Assessment capabilities
- Cloud Migration and Modernization experience
- Mandatory proficiency in Terraform
- Proficiency in CloudFormation
- Experience with Kubernetes and Amazon EKS
- Docker experience
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps
- Networking knowledge covering VPC, Transit Gateway, VPN, and Direct Connect
- Security expertise including IAM, Security Hub, GuardDuty, and WAF
- Monitoring experience with CloudWatch, Grafana, and Prometheus
