In this role, the professional will direct the strategy, engineering, and operations of enterprise data platforms, focusing on scalable, secure, and reliable services. The position entails driving platform modernization, automation, observability, and AI-enabled capabilities to enhance user experience and efficiency. The candidate will offer technical leadership across Hadoop, AWS EMR, Spark, NoSQL, and cloud-based platforms while collaborating with architecture, security, infrastructure, and business groups to produce resilient solutions.

Responsibilities
- Lead strategy, engineering, and operations for enterprise data platforms to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable services
- Drive modernization, automation, observability, and artificial intelligence-enabled capabilities for improved efficiency
- Provide technical leadership concerning AWS EMR, Hadoop, Spark, NoSQL, and cloud platforms
- Collaborate with architecture, security, infrastructure, and business units to deliver cost-effective and resilient solutions
- Formulate engineering standards, governance, compliance practices, security, and reliability metrics
- Mentor engineers and foster an environment of continuous improvement and accountability
Requirements
- 10 or more years of experience in Big Data, Data Platform Engineering, or Cloud Technologies
- Minimum of 3 years leading engineering teams
- Expertise in AWS EMR, Hadoop, Apache Spark, distributed data platforms, and NoSQL databases including Cassandra, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, and HBase
- Practical background with Python, Terraform, Jenkins, Git, CI/CD, DevOps, and platform automation
- Demonstrated success building and operating secure, highly available, and scalable enterprise data platforms
- Proficiency in performance tuning, monitoring, observability, capacity planning, and stakeholder management
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
- Experience with GenAI, AI-enabled tools, cloud transformation, vendor management, and data governance frameworks
