Job Description
The Deputy BSA/AML Officer role is a full-time, on-site position in Austin. It takes in the wider financial crime remit of the compliance function. The post works as a strategic counterpart to the BSA/AML Officer, leads the financial crimes team day to day, and drives cross-functional improvements to how the department operates. Wise is described as a global technology company that helps people and businesses move and manage money internationally, and this role supports that work from a compliance angle.

The deputy also serves on the US SAR committee, shares input with the FinCEN Reporting Team, adds input to the Financial Crime Risk Assessment the company runs, and deputises for the BSA/AML Officer across AML, fraud, sanctions and KYC/CDD and EDD.
The posting asks for over a decade in financial crime compliance, with hands-on dealings with federal regulators, and expert knowledge of US financial crime rules such as BSA and OFAC. Experience in financial crime leadership at fintech companies is ideal.
