Job Description
IntelliPro is seeking a Design Verification Engineer for a remote contract-to-hire opportunity supporting TeraWave, a multiorbit satellite communication network. The incoming professional will contribute to a custom ASIC initiative involving a high-throughput modem and a DSP-intensive digital beamformer targeted for tapeout in 2027. This position entails building test benches completely from scratch, developing verification strategies, and working with modern AI-enabled verification platforms.
This role suits professionals who thrive in ambiguous environments, take ownership of their work, and have a background in semiconductor chips, processor design, or related fields. The verification team currently consists of five members, operating alongside a design team of fifteen. While candidates can work remotely or from designated locations such as Austin or San Diego, relocation may be required upon conversion to certain office hubs.
Responsibilities
- Manage verification planning and execution for complex blocks and subsystems from test plans through sign-off
- Convert design specifications into verification strategies, measurable coverage goals, and risk identification
- Choose appropriate verification techniques including constrained-random simulation, formal analysis, and directed testing
- Build verification environments, reference models, scoreboards, protocol monitors, coverage components, and assertions
- Drive functional coverage closure, regression health, and sign-off readiness across simulation and formal results
- Construct verification infrastructure, regression systems, and reuse strategies across IP, subsystem, and SoC levels
- Utilize and build AI-driven verification tools for stimulus generation, regression triage, and coverage analytics
- Evaluate testbench architecture, refine debugging methods, and guide junior engineering staff
Requirements
- Minimum of seven years of professional experience
- Proficiency in UVM, C or C++, formal verification, or emulation
- Capability to build test benches from scratch
- Ability to operate independently when project specifications are unclear
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
- Background in wireless communications, modem, baseband, or DSP verification
- Familiarity with RF signal verification
