The company is actively expanding an emerging portfolio of artificial intelligence-driven retailer solutions and seeks a Director, AI Solutions Strategy & Planning to manage this initiative from end to end.
In this position, you will operate at the crossroads of business strategy and emerging artificial intelligence. Your primary focus will involve establishing go-to-market plans, commercialization frameworks, and pricing strategies while collaborating across departments with product, sales, marketing, legal, and customer success teams. Key initial outcomes include defining comprehensive go-to-market execution for AI-enabled consumer experiences, ecommerce analytics, and retailer workflows, as well as developing onboarding playbooks, pilot programs, and sales enablement materials.
This opportunity is well-suited for a strategic professional experienced in scaling emerging technology offerings, navigating complex commercial landscapes, and translating technical capabilities into tangible business outcomes. Instacart operates under a Flex First remote work model, allowing staff to determine their primary workspace.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute a comprehensive go-to-market strategy for AI-driven solutions encompassing consumer experiences, ecommerce analytics, and enhanced retailer workflows
- Establish cross-functional alignment and governance forums across product, sales, marketing, finance, and legal departments
- Launch pilot programs and experimentation frameworks to validate artificial intelligence products using retailer feedback and performance metrics
- Enable sales teams with strategies, training programs, and enablement materials to accelerate pipeline velocity and product adoption
- Inform commercialization decisions through continuous market intelligence and competitive analysis
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in strategy, product commercialization, or go-to-market planning with a proven record of driving market impact for emerging offerings
- Experience developing go-to-market strategies for enterprise technology platforms, retailer solutions, or artificial intelligence-powered products
- Deep understanding of artificial intelligence technologies with the ability to articulate technical concepts as business value
- Expertise in solution packaging, pricing frameworks, and product positioning
- Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities covering modeling, forecasting, solution performance evaluation, opportunity sizing, and financial outlook
- Cross-functional leadership experience influencing stakeholders across product, sales, marketing, legal, and finance
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for presenting to internal and external audiences
- Demonstrated capability to operate effectively in ambiguous and rapidly changing environments focused on iterative learning
Qualifications
- Familiarity with conversational artificial intelligence, retail technology applications, or ecommerce analytics
- Advanced knowledge of product monetization models including subscription, value-based, and usage-based frameworks
- Master of Business Administration or advanced degree in business, technology, or a related field
