Job Description
Power Digital Marketing is looking for a Director, Events & Experiences to manage the company's in-person brand presence across major industry events and proprietary local gatherings. Operating as an AI-native growth firm, Power Digital combines human strategy and creative execution with proprietary intelligence tools. This position reports directly to the VP of Marketing and operates on a hands-on basis, handling everything from high-level event strategies to day-of logistical details.
This role is ideal for an experienced experiential marketer who can balance creative vision with rigorous operational management. The chosen professional will design and execute large-scale tentpole conference strategies at gatherings like Cannes, Shoptalk, NRF, and eTail West, alongside localized micro-events, community meetups, and executive dinners in major metropolitan markets such as Los Angeles, New York, and Austin. Day-to-day responsibilities span vendor management, contract negotiations, guest strategy, sponsorship evaluations, budgeting, run-of-shows, promotional gifting, and on-site production.
Furthermore, the candidate will collaborate closely with sales, partnerships, and marketing groups to ensure corporate gatherings align with broader commercial targets, priority accounts, and pipeline objectives. The person in this position will leverage internal AI software capabilities to optimize planning workflows, audience research, and post-event analysis. Success is measured by meeting strategic pipeline goals, managing approved budgets efficiently, and delivering memorable brand activations. Power Digital welcomes applicants who are legally eligible to work in the United States and offers flexible work arrangements supporting remote, hybrid, or in-office styles.
Responsibilities
- Design and direct the strategy and complete lifecycle execution for major tentpole event activations in partnership with the CMO and VP of Marketing.
- Develop a recurring calendar of company-hosted gatherings, including community meetups, executive dinners, and micro-events in key regions like New York, Austin, and Los Angeles.
- Oversee all operational and financial elements of event planning, including vendor sourcing, contract negotiations, budgeting, venue scouting, travel logistics, gifting, and post-event follow-ups.
- Prepare corporate leaders for high-visibility public appearances by providing briefing documents, speaking coordination, schedules, and on-site assistance.
- Partner with sales and marketing stakeholders to tie experiential initiatives directly to targeted accounts, campaigns, and commercial pipelines.
- Utilize artificial intelligence solutions to streamline operational workflows, personalize audience outreach, and conduct post-activation analysis.
- Document repeatable playbooks, timelines, and measurement frameworks to continuously improve future experiential investments.
Requirements
- At least six years of professional experience managing complex B2B events, field marketing, or experiential marketing initiatives with full operational ownership.
- Demonstrated track record of guiding programs from initial concept through on-site production, budgeting, vendor management, and performance analysis.
- Familiarity with the commerce, advertising, technology, or marketing sectors and how to establish distinct brand visibility in crowded environments.
- Advanced organizational and project management capabilities to concurrently handle multiple deadlines, budgets, and stakeholders.
- Executive presence and polished communication skills suited for influencing stakeholders and prepping leadership for high-profile moments.
- Flexibility to travel regularly and maintain hands-on involvement throughout the event lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Strong creative judgment with a willingness to test unconventional ideas that drive differentiated attendee experiences.
