CrossFit is hiring a Director of Affiliates to manage its affiliate network and ensure the organization effectively serves gym owners worldwide. This full-time position operates remotely and reports directly to the CEO. The person chosen for this role will guide the departments responsible for building, reinforcing, and expanding the global affiliate community. Key duties involve setting strategic direction, tracking performance indicators, and working with other company divisions to provide practical solutions for local gym operators. The ideal candidate brings firsthand operational background running an affiliate, coaching athletes, and growing a business.
This professional will engage directly with gym operators through roundtables, events, and facility visits to gather feedback. Responsibilities include analyzing affiliate unit economics, managing the departmental budget alongside the finance team, monitoring performance metrics, and removing administrative obstacles for local facilities. The role also requires close partnership with the legal, finance, product and technology, marketing, sport, and education departments to maintain cohesive priorities.
Responsibilities
- Lead strategy and execution for the affiliate business unit while staying accountable for quarterly performance targets
- Interact directly with affiliate owners via roundtables, community events, and site visits to collect field insights
- Evaluate affiliate unit economics to pinpoint sustainability drivers, growth factors, and potential risks
- Coordinate cross-functionally with the Education, Sport, Marketing, Product and Technology, Finance, and Legal teams
- Collaborate with Finance to oversee the operating budget and optimize resource allocation
- Track performance indicators and eliminate operational friction for local gym operations
- Provide coaching and mentorship to cultivate leadership within the affiliate operations team
Requirements
- Current operational background and ownership experience with a CrossFit affiliate
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive executive leadership background in business operations, franchise or network operations, professional services, or account management
- Proven expertise in managing senior leaders and directing geographically dispersed or remote organizations
- Demonstrated history of driving financial growth, operational scale, and customer retention metrics
- Background in designing and implementing scalable organizational structures and operational frameworks
Qualifications
- Active CrossFit Level 4 certification
- Ongoing active participation in the CrossFit Open
- Deep domain expertise and understanding of the CrossFit affiliate ecosystem
