This position suits an experienced communications specialist capable of translating complex technical concepts into accurate, substantive media stories without relying on hype.
In this position, the incumbent will take charge of press connections across logistics, technology, and business sectors while drafting leadership content alongside marketing teams. Responsibilities span executive visibility, internal communication strategy development, and overseeing agency deliverables. Over time, the role involves building out and leading a dedicated communications department as the enterprise continues its expansion across global markets.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations and deliverables of the external communications agency
- Establish and maintain messaging guardrails regarding proof points, terminology, and claims
- Build relationships with journalists across business, technology, and logistics media to secure positive coverage
- Collaborate with marketing and investor relations to draft executive communications, speeches, and talking points
- Partner with the marketing department to produce thought leadership content and blog posts
- Formulate the internal communications strategy alongside the Head of People and CEO's Chief of Staff
- Develop and eventually lead a growing internal communications team
Requirements
- Over 10 years of professional background in public relations, communications, or media relations
- Demonstrated history of securing media placements in business, technology, or industrial trade press
- Experience transforming complex scientific or technical work into accurate narratives for various audiences
- Background in managing external public relations agencies
- Experience supporting executive communications such as bylines, speeches, or talking points
- Strong writing capabilities for shaping blog posts and thought leadership materials
Qualifications
- Prior communications experience within an AI, deep-tech, or robotics organization scaling commercially
- Existing professional connections with journalists reporting on AI, supply chain, logistics, or transportation technology
- Experience guiding a company through a significant narrative shift
- Background working specifically within autonomous vehicles, physical AI, or robotics sectors
- Demonstrated experience building out a corporate communications function or team from inception
