The Interaction Design Foundation is looking for an Education Designer specializing in UX, UI, and AI to join its remote editorial team on a full-time basis. In this position, you will plan, structure, and create core educational content, deciding what participants should achieve by the end of a course and how they reach that goal. You will design sequences, exercises, templates, and assessments that turn passive learning into active practice, collaborating closely with industry leaders, co-founders, video teams, and course directors. This role suits someone who loves translating complex design and AI skills into accessible learning experiences for a global audience ranging from beginners to senior professionals.

IxDF operates as a prominent online education platform dedicated to design and artificial intelligence, supporting over a million enrollments globally. The organization collaborates with renowned experts and industry leaders to produce courses and Master Classes. Responsibilities

  • Plan, structure, and author core educational content for courses and Master Classes across UX, UI, design thinking, psychology, and artificial intelligence
  • Design practical exercises, portfolio activities, templates, and assessments that help students build real portfolio case studies
  • Collaborate with global industry leaders and internal teams including video editors, growth teams, and course directors
  • Reach out to industry experts over email to invite them to create Master Classes and help produce live sessions
  • Travel internationally a few times a year to professional studios to shoot course content with colleagues
  • Analyze completion rates, learner feedback, and student portfolios to continuously update and refine published courses
  • Maintain clear internal documentation that remains up-to-date and easily searchable for team members

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on design experience
  • Demonstrated background in facilitating workshops, running beginner courses, mentoring designers, or building online curricula
  • Ability to show previous educational work such as a course, workshop series, live Master Classes, mentoring program, or AI teaching app
  • Fluent in written and spoken English with the ability to explain complex ideas clearly
  • Collaborates with AI tools for research, structuring, writing, and creation while maintaining personal leadership over the final outcome
