This full-time, on-site role in Hyderabad leads a Java engineering team supporting UKBI systems built on microservices, serverless architecture, Docker, EKS and search technologies such as Solr or OpenSearch. The manager mentors engineers, manages risks and technical blockers, and stays hands-on in sprints.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor engineers, supporting their professional development.
- Design and deliver scalable software on Java, microservices, Docker, EKS and AWS services.
- Manage risks and technical impediments, and communicate with leadership on delivery.
- Drive AI adoption to improve engineering productivity, software quality and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- 10 years of total experience, including 5+ years in Java, microservices, Python, SQL and NoSQL databases.
- At least 4 years of people management experience.
- Experience with search technologies such as Solr or OpenSearch.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering or a related field.
- Expertise in AWS services such as EC2, EKS and Lambda, and familiarity with DevOps practices.
