In this position, the selected individual will direct technical strategies and product roadmaps for single-vehicle introspection tools comparable to Webviz and RViz, alongside fleet-level analytics systems similar to Deck.gl. These applications provide crucial visibility into autonomous vehicle operations, allowing engineers across safety, planning, perception, and prediction domains to evaluate decision-making processes in real-time and post-mission scenarios.

Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a software engineering team specializing in backend C++ systems and frontend graphics like WebGL, Three.js, and TypeScript
- Own the technical roadmap and product strategy across fleet-wide analytics platforms and deep single-vehicle introspection tools
- Architect strategies that push browser performance limits to manage complex 3D rendering, time-series information, video streams, and multi-layered map assets without losing client-side responsiveness
- Drive continuous system usability enhancements to give internal users quick ways to diagnose edge cases and evaluate fleet performance
- Partner with infrastructure, safety, and autonomy units to translate complicated debugging workflows into intuitive visualizations
- Cultivate an inclusive, high-impact culture focused on technical excellence, quality, and mentorship
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience managing, recruiting, and developing high-performing software engineering teams
- 7+ years of experience in software development with a foundation in developer tooling or complex, data-intensive web applications
- Direct experience or leadership in pushing browser execution limits such as client-side memory management, WebGL or Three.js execution, WebAssembly, or large data streaming
- Strong dedication to technical user experience and intuitive UI design for developer workflows
