The organization seeks a Staff Energy Engineer to direct vehicle and fleet energy management initiatives in a hybrid work arrangement. In this position, the professional will oversee a technical energy group, collaborate across departments, and steer the execution of end-to-end energy plans. Responsibilities include defining strategies for full vehicle power usage, guiding simulation and testing efforts, and integrating energy models into the broader corporate simulation environment.

Responsibilities
- Manage a skilled technical energy team
- Formulate and share comprehensive vehicle energy strategies including thermal integration and driving cycles
- Distribute power strategy targets to various vehicle subsystems
- Partner with advanced hardware, thermal, and powertrain groups to build energy-efficient configurations
- Direct simulation, testing, validation, and model correlation tasks
- Incorporate energy models into the company simulation platform for end-to-end range analysis
- Track the energy roadmap as robotaxi services scale
Requirements
- More than ten years of robust experience in vehicle energy management
- Demonstrated background conducting energy testing and simulation
- Past leadership experience creating technical roadmaps, power budgets, and individual performance targets for vehicle milestones
- Familiarity with data analysis, reporting, and documentation tools such as Jira, Smartsheet, and Google Workspace
Qualifications
- Master of Science degree in physics, engineering, or a related discipline
- Background in electric or autonomous vehicle engineering
- Experience in technical program management
