The organization is seeking an Engineering Manager to guide Codeless, which is an internal Server-Driven UI platform team. This position is based in London and requires on-site attendance. The person in this role will bridge mobile and web frontend engineering with core backend systems, helping product teams deploy dynamic native user interfaces straight from the backend across iOS, Android, and Web without relying on standard app store release cycles. This opportunity is suited for a technical leader experienced in software management who can provide technical direction, mentor engineers, and champion accessibility standards while partnering closely with product feature groups, design systems teams, and core infrastructure engineers.
Responsibilities
- Build, mentor, and scale the engineering group responsible for the Codeless Server-Driven UI platform
- Oversee the design and evolution of dynamic layout engines, declarative UI schemas, and client rendering frameworks across iOS, Android, and Web
- Collaborate with product feature teams to drive internal adoption of the Codeless platform
- Establish technical standards for platform performance, payload optimization, caching strategies, backward compatibility, and offline behavior
- Work alongside product managers, design system leaders, and core infrastructure engineers to align roadmaps with company initiatives
Requirements
- At least three years of experience managing software engineering teams
- Demonstrated track record of coaching engineers, delivering complex platform initiatives, and driving technical strategy
- Strong foundational background in mobile development on iOS or Android, or modern web architecture including React, SwiftUI, Jetpack Compose, or declarative UI paradigms
