Job Description

Toptal operates a worldwide network of talent that helps companies scale teams on demand. This full-time, remote Enterprise Sales Executive role is part of the BFSI group (banking, financial services and insurance) in the United States. The executive builds a client portfolio, taking enterprise prospects through pitching, negotiating and closing. The work draws on Toptal's technology, marketing and management consulting capabilities to deliver tailored solutions with measurable results. The posting describes the role as a fit for hunters who enjoy growing a territory starting at zero.

Once a new client is signed, the executive teams up with Client Partners to deepen the relationship. Net new accounts usually start with mid-level stakeholders and call for a transactional approach, while established accounts need consultative talks with senior leaders. The executive works with Sales Development Representatives, pre-sales specialists and delivery teams to shape engagements, and runs research and outreach across several channels to find new opportunities.

The first-year target is an annualized gross sales figure of $1 million, with the book expected to grow toward $5 million by years two or three. Pay is a base salary plus monthly commissions linked to sales development results, as the posting describes it. Travel to meet clients and attend events is 25 percent or less of the time.

Candidates need extensive experience selling consulting or managed services, particularly to financial or professional services organizations. A proven record of selling sizable, multi-phase managed technology engagements to enterprises with $2 billion or more in revenue is required. The role also calls for a working understanding of emerging technologies and software delivery, plus a bachelor's degree. Applications and correspondence must be in English.
