Job Description

This is a full-time, remote position for an Events Marketing Manager responsible for the EMEA region. The employer is Customer.io, a business whose software lets companies send email, push alerts, in-app notices and text messages triggered by real-time customer activity. The company reports that over 9,000 businesses rely on it.

The role centers on in-person gatherings across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Responsibilities include live field gatherings, hosted sessions for customers and prospects, and sponsored industry conferences, plus a monthly regional webinar that the manager runs from planning through post-event outreach. Programs are tailored to individual European markets instead of duplicating North American formats. The manager partners with demand generation, content, design, partnerships and regional sales teams. The person is expected to assume full regional ownership within 90 days, ramping up alongside the current events manager who supports the region.

Travel is a required part of the job, with at least 15% of time spent on regional field events and on-site assistance. Daily work covers vendor management, scheduling, run-of-show planning, speaker preparation, sign-up flows and attendee messaging from first contact through follow-up. Success is judged by pipeline and revenue influenced, deal progression, audience engagement and accurate attribution. The manager is also expected to produce reusable playbooks and templates for the region.

This suits a practical, well-organized marketer with four or more years of event marketing in B2B software, experience staging in-person events in several formats, and prior experience hosting webinars. Candidates should live in the UK or Ireland, with London or Dublin preferred. The company's stated values center on thoughtful attendee experiences, teamwork, data-informed choices, purposeful action and operational calm. The hiring steps are a recruiter screen, a conversation with the events team, an interview with the hiring manager, and a case-study review with prospective colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the regional in-person event calendar, covering field gatherings, hosted sessions, sponsored conferences and brand activations
  • Define objectives, target audiences, formats and metrics for regional events, in coordination with the events group and demand generation
  • Weigh regional sponsorship offers, speaking opportunities and format options against program goals
  • Handle vendor relationships, scheduling, run-of-show documents, speaker briefings and on-site assistance
  • Own the monthly regional webinar from start to finish, including topic and presenter selection, sign-ups, promotion and follow-up
  • Create and refine registration pages, forms and automated workflows for regional campaigns
  • Promote regional events through email, social and partner channels, and manage attendee messages across the event lifecycle
  • Coordinate with demand generation, marketing operations and sales on lead capture, assignment and rapid follow-up
  • Monitor pipeline, revenue and engagement results and recommend changes that raise return on investment
  • Keep templates, documentation and repeatable workflows current for regional events

Requirements

  • Minimum of four years working in event marketing for B2B software-as-a-service firms
  • Hands-on delivery of in-person events in several formats, such as live field gatherings, hosted sessions and conferences
  • Prior experience hosting webinars
  • Strong project management across overlapping tasks, teams and time zones
  • Track record of working with sales teams and supporting follow-up driven by events
  • Living in the UK or Ireland
  • Willingness to travel at least 15% of the time

Qualifications

  • Experience staging events across multiple European markets
  • Hands-on use of marketing automation software such as Customer.io and Marketo, plus Salesforce
  • Familiarity with webinar and event management platforms such as Livestorm, Zoom and Sequel
  • Grasp of lead capture, UTM parameters and event-to-pipeline attribution
  • Ability to troubleshoot data flows with revenue or marketing operations teams so reporting stays clean

Core Skills

Benefits

  • Employer-funded premiums at 100% for medical, dental, vision and supplemental insurance, plus mental health coverage, for the employee and dependents
  • Sixteen weeks of paid parental leave
  • Unlimited paid time off
  • Stipends covering remote working and wellness spending
  • Budget for professional development
