Figma is seeking an Executive Communications Manager to join its team. The company develops a collaborative product design platform that helps teams handle brainstorming, prototyping, code translation, and AI iteration in real time from anywhere. In this newly created role reporting to the VP of Communications, the professional will shape the company narrative and craft executive messaging.
This position involves heavy writing tasks such as preparing essays, social posts, keynotes, and op-eds, alongside strategic planning to determine target audiences and message dissemination. The ideal candidate exhibits strong conviction, low ego, deep curiosity, and the capability to make leaders sound precise and credible across short posts and long essays.

Responsibilities
- Build the narrative framework used by business executives to articulate company and personal messaging
- Collaborate with the communications team on media strategy, messaging, and channel selection
- Partner and collaborate with company leaders to sharpen their concepts and viewpoints
- Establish systems and infrastructure to maintain consistent and differentiated executive storytelling
- Measure impact and encourage experimentation within executive communications
Requirements
- Extensive background in developing narratives for senior leaders across various formats and audiences
- Demonstrated experience writing for C-suite executives holding strong opinions and high standards
- Executive presence with the capability to influence individuals without direct reporting lines
- Media relations background with sound judgment concerning press, messaging, and reputation
- Comfort working with ambiguity alongside deep curiosity and a track record of delivering strong work
Qualifications
- Journalism or editorial background with strong news judgment
- Experience working in tech, creative pursuits, or product design and development
- Strong business literacy with the ability to translate complex financial and technical subjects for broad audiences
