Natera, a worldwide provider of cell-free DNA diagnostics specializing in oncology, women's health, and organ health, seeks a Finance Functional Lead for Oracle Fusion Cloud. Operating within the IS&T division, this professional serves as the main point of contact for the Controller, senior finance executives, and accounting teams during an extensive financial system transformation. The position is responsible for the entire lifecycle of Oracle Fusion Financials, ranging from backlog management and strategic roadmaps to direct system configuration, deployment, and adoption.
This individual manages product outcomes, drives automation enhancements, ensures audit compliance, and oversees new capabilities across multiple modules such as general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, cash management, project accounting, lease accounting, and FP&A enablement. In addition, the role directs an offshore managed service partner tasked with keep-the-lights-on support while personally handling all greenfield projects. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses deep technical expertise coupled with a solid accounting background.
Responsibilities
- Manage the product roadmap, sprint planning, and backlog for Oracle Fusion Financials modules including GL, AP, AR, FA, and FP&A
- Act as the sole accountable owner for all new Oracle Fusion Finance initiatives from design through deployment
- Partner directly with the Controller and senior accounting leadership to translate business needs into system architecture
- Direct and govern the offshore managed service partner responsible for ongoing support and maintenance
- Perform hands-on functional configuration, testing, training, documentation, and quarterly upgrade support
- Design and deliver financial consolidation, intercompany elimination, and Oracle Account Reconciliation Cloud Service processes
- Implement Oracle Fusion Project Accounting and Lease Accounting capabilities
- Configure systems to support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close cycles as well as SOX compliance and audit readiness
- Drive intelligent automation and AI integration across billing, reconciliations, tax, and treasury operations
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate adjacent financial platforms like Concur, Workday, and Blackline
Requirements
- Over 12 years of hands-on experience supporting or owning finance ERP platforms within an IT environment
- Proven expertise in Oracle Fusion Financials functional configuration, reporting, testing, and production support
- Practical knowledge of core accounting workflows including Record-to-Report, close, billing, revenue, and treasury
- Direct experience executing consolidations and eliminations within Oracle Fusion
- Background managing offshore managed service delivery teams across support functions
- Executive communication skills with experience presenting to senior finance leadership
- Demonstrated experience utilizing AI capabilities to transform financial operations
- Familiarity with SOX compliance, internal controls, and regulated industry environments
- Experience in Agile delivery models and iterative project management
Qualifications
- CPA, CMA, or direct general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, close, or audit experience
- Previous tenure at a Big 4 or Tier-1 consulting firm delivering enterprise ERP solutions
- Oracle Fusion ERP or Financials certifications
- Prior implementation experience with Project Accounting or Lease Accounting
- Experience guiding financial platforms through mergers, acquisitions, or rapid business scaling
- Background in the life sciences, diagnostics, or medical device sector
