Wise is currently hiring a FinCrime Operations Team Lead - AML Investigations to work full-time on-site in Hyderabad. In this position, the professional will help establish a new team in Hyderabad while collaborating with a broader group spread across five international office locations. The primary objective is to assist in detecting suspicious financial transactions and ensuring the organization stays fully compliant.
This opportunity is well-suited for an experienced people leader who combines a strong grasp of anti-money laundering investigations with the ability to design efficient operational workflows. The person in this role will empower investigators by supplying the necessary tools, tracking performance metrics, and managing operational impact alongside product and compliance departments.

Responsibilities
- Take ownership of operational management, people leadership, or specific functions within the AML investigations domain
- Create and maintain operational processes, task allocations, training programs, and performance management frameworks
- Document processes and projects related to the assigned area
- Track team metrics and KPIs to ensure service level agreements are met
- Lead, build, and develop the AML operational team with a focus on community
- Collaborate with other leads, product units, and compliance teams to manage operational changes and enhance efficiency
Requirements
- Eligible to work in Hyderabad
- Previous team leadership experience
- Knowledge of AML Investigations
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
- Ability to analyze and adjust team metrics while supporting area specialists
- Track record of taking ownership and functioning as a team player
- Communication and presentation skills for internal and external projects and audits
