The company seeks a Finnish Tech Linguistic Tester to join its remote team. This position primarily involves reviewing and editing previously localized Finnish content to catch and fix errors such as typos, grammar mistakes, punctuation issues, capitalization errors, syntax problems, political incorrectness, inconsistencies, and spacing flaws. The job holder will also translate materials from English into Finnish, test user interfaces for functional issues, and evaluate software, mobile apps, and documentation translations.

Responsibilities
- Proofread and edit localized content in Finnish to identify grammar, spelling, punctuation, syntax, and spacing errors
- Translate content from English into Finnish
- Inspect user interfaces for functional defects
- Log and report software bugs using internal databases and client-specific bug tracking tools
- Evaluate translations within mobile apps, software, and documentation contexts
- Research and resolve linguistic questions as a subject matter expert
- Follow project style guides, trademarks, glossaries, and quality standards
- Troubleshoot basic issues and manage tasks efficiently
Requirements
- Native-level fluency in spoken and written Finnish alongside strong English communication abilities
- Up-to-date awareness of common technical language usage in Finnish
- At least three years of professional experience in translation and localization
- Familiarity with native Finnish culture, trends, and social media including the Facebook Family of Apps
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to navigate networks and websites using various web browsers
- Basic knowledge of desktop and laptop PC hardware
- Basic knowledge of smartphones running iOS and Android operating systems
- Experience with consumer utility devices focused on messaging, health, fitness, calendars, and organization
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a college or university in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Prior experience in localization, QA, or translation
- Advanced computer skills
