Job Description

Responsibilities

• Partner directly with clients to analyze operational constraints, data sources, workflows, and technical objectives
• Translate ambiguous business problems into clear technical requirements, solution architectures, prototypes, and execution plans
• Design and construct artificial intelligence enabled applications, agentic workflows, full-stack products, APIs, data pipelines, and developer tools
• Engineer application harnesses around artificial intelligence models, including prompts, context, memory, tools, runtime controls, feedback mechanisms, and permission boundaries
• Build and refine agent loops supporting planning, tool selection, execution, observation, reflection, recovery, and termination
• Model intricate workflows as state machines, graphs, or alternative orchestration patterns to coordinate models, data, human approvals, and systems
• Establish evaluation frameworks to track task completion, latency, reliability, accuracy, safety, cost, and user value
• Develop and validate rapid prototypes through real users and evaluations, scaling successful concepts into secure production systems
• Integrate solutions with enterprise data sources, cloud platforms, third-party services, and client infrastructures
• Contribute across the entire technology stack, covering user interfaces, backend services, deployment pipelines, and artificial intelligence infrastructure
• Implement appropriate fallback mechanisms, safeguards, approval checkpoints, and permission boundaries for autonomous systems
• Instrument applications to track traces, analyze intermediate states, diagnose failures, and enhance system performance
• Identify and mitigate failure modes such as hallucinations, looping, prompt injection, context loss, and brittle tool calls
• Communicate project progress, technical risks, decisions, and trade-offs clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams comprising product managers, designers, data specialists, engineers, and client representatives
• Establish robust engineering practices covering automated testing, continuous delivery, documentation, security, and observability
• Capture reusable insights and components to strengthen internal capabilities and support future client engagements

Requirements

• Demonstrated professional experience building and deploying production-grade software, including artificial intelligence or agentic systems
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, Python, or another relevant language utilized for artificial intelligence platforms and developer tooling
• Practical understanding of harness engineering, including context, permissions, tools, and feedback mechanisms for reliable artificial intelligence agents
• Experience developing or working with agent loops for planning, execution, reflection, recovery, and termination
• Familiarity with graph-based orchestration, multi-step workflows, and state machines for coordinating agents and data
• Experience designing evaluation systems such as task benchmarks, regression suites, and production monitoring
• Understanding of trade-offs regarding memory, prompt design, context management, retrieval, and structured outputs
• Experience instrumenting systems to measure quality, trace decisions, and diagnose operational failures
• Solid knowledge of databases, distributed systems, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and modern software development practices
• Ability to rapidly comprehend unfamiliar domains, systems, and technologies
• Strong product judgment balancing model capability, latency, security, cost, and user experience
• Experience collaborating directly with customers, cross-functional teams, or stakeholders
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for explaining technical concepts and limitations
• Comfort working in fast-moving environments with evolving constraints and requirements
• High degree of ownership, curiosity, empathy, and bias toward action

Qualifications

• Experience with agent frameworks, workflow engines, coding agents, or custom model orchestration systems
• Experience creating tool interfaces, execution sandboxes, and human-in-the-loop controls
• Familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, vector search, knowledge graphs, fine-tuning, and model routing
• Experience evaluating systems using adversarial testing, golden datasets, simulators, and online experiments
• Familiarity with artificial intelligence observability, including token analysis, cost tracking, latency measurement, and failure classification
• Experience building multi-model or specialized agent systems for complex tasks
• Understanding of artificial intelligence security concerns, such as excessive agency, data leakage, and supply chain risks
• Experience with cloud platforms including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud
• Experience with containers, Kubernetes, continuous integration and deployment tooling, and infrastructure as code
• Contributions to open-source projects related to agent frameworks, evaluation tooling, or artificial intelligence infrastructure
• Experience working within regulated or complex enterprise environments
• Background in consulting, solutions engineering, professional services, sales engineering, or customer-facing technical roles
• History of taking products from discovery through production launch and adoption
• Claude Certified Architect Foundations or Professional certification with practical implementation experience
