Job Description
DeepHealth is seeking a Forward Deployment Engineer whose focus is Reporting Pro, its radiology reporting product. The job is remote and full-time, and it is an individual contributor role without direct reports. The engineer plans how Reporting Pro gets configured for each customer, turning that customer's reporting routine into concrete settings, and works with radiologists to shape report templates and structured content.
The engineer reports to the Service Engineering Lead in Enterprise Intelligence and works alongside the lead engineer on the DxS suite. The role belongs to the company's Forward Deployment Engineering team and coordinates with technical delivery managers, product staff and service and solution delivery groups so customer rollouts run smoothly. Lessons from this work pass into those delivery groups, and the team plans future changes with them.
Day to day, the engineer runs discovery sessions with clients and implementation staff, covering reporting workflows, legacy systems, HL7 order and result traffic, and how reports reach RIS and EHR platforms. The engineer also plans moving templates and macros off older systems up to cutover, and leads customer-facing work during launches and hypercare. This person is the Level 3 contact for Reporting Pro problems in assigned accounts. Around 20 to 30 percent of the time goes to implementation support and root-cause work with engineering. The role includes helping roll out AI-assisted drafting features as they arrive and verifying each release or hotfix on typical customer setups before and after it ships. Up to 25 percent travel is expected.
Responsibilities
- Plan each assigned customer's Reporting Pro setup, linking the reporting routine to templates, macros, structured reports, dictation, signature and addendum policies, critical-result alerts and user roles
- Run discovery work on reporting processes, existing legacy platforms, HL7 order and result feeds, reports sent out to RIS and EHR systems, and network and security needs
- Create and check report templates and structured content alongside radiologists, and map out the move of templates and macros off older systems
- Mentor implementation staff and reporting administrators at each site, and write up standards, template collections and playbooks
- Act as the technical point person in go-lives, hypercare and escalations, explaining status, choices and expectations to clinicians and IT teams
- Own Level 3 escalations for failed report delivery and other Reporting Pro faults, including root-cause work alongside engineering
- Turn repeated customer requests into standard workflows and product requirements
- Drive escalated engineering defects for each account through reproduction and follow-up, and keep customers informed until they close
- Set the AI adoption plan for Reporting Pro, and deploy and support AI-assisted reporting features, such as drafting reports from priors and clinical data, once they go live
- Watch service health, join incident response, and verify each release or hotfix on representative configurations
Requirements
- Degree in computer science or biomedical engineering, health informatics or information systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent years of experience
- More than eight years in clinical IT, medical imaging or hospital systems
- Five-plus years in a client-facing technical role on radiology reporting products such as PowerScribe or Fluency, as reporting administrator, applications consultant, implementation engineer or Level 3 engineer
- Practical grasp of HL7 v2 message types (ADT, ORM, ORU), covering how orders connect to reports and how finalized reports, amendments and fixes are sent on to RIS and EHR systems
- Hands-on experience building report templates, macros, structured reports and speech recognition setups, including at least one reporting go-live or migration
- Solid knowledge of the radiology workflow, from RIS and worklists through dictation, sign-off and urgent result communication
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms (GCP, AWS or Azure), plus storage, networking and single sign-on
- Clear track record of explaining technical choices to clinicians, IT leadership and executives, including under escalation
- Microsoft Office experience
Qualifications
- CIIP, PARCA or ARRT credential in imaging informatics or clinical practice
- Hands-on exposure to generative tools that draft radiology reports
- Grounding in DICOM and the way PACS systems integrate
- Experience in medical device quality standards (FDA 21 CFR 820, ISO 13485, IEC 62304)
